I am gaining a lot from Ria's very flexible and adaptive approach. She has tailored her choice of learning materials to suit both my level/experience and my learning style. She has been very quick to adapt lessons to focus on the areas I wish to strengthen. Overall, I'm learning a lot in a short space of time and have been given good opportunity to develop in my own time as much as is possible.
Ria was absolutely excellent with communication prior to our sessions. I am currently two sessions into my course and I’m thoroughly enjoying them. Ria is calm, understanding and puts you at ease. Ria is very kind and considerate when we have our online Dutch lessons. She sends me some really helpful work pages. She listens to my feedback and helps me throughout the lesson. She is very easy to talk to and I don’t feel too embarrassed when I’m talking with her as I know she is only there to guide and help me rather than laugh at my mistakes. I have a lot of confidence issues when it comes to speaking Dutch with my boyfriend and his family (who all live in the Netherlands) so it is nice to have someone to listen, give feedback and guide me on to a path of speaking Dutch.
Ria is a fantastic tutor who is always supportive and reassuring at every lesson. She will always go at your pace and makes every effort to make the course relate to real life scenarios, making it easier to digest. Homework is optional which is allows you to get in extra practice if you have time during the week. Ria is also very flexible with days and times for lessons and always tries to be accommodating. Over all I highly recommend Ria as a tutor.

Great teacher and very patient. Always there to help even when it’s not lesson time. With Ria you get the complete package, firstly Dutch is her first language so she not only knows the language but also knows the mannerism and pronunciation perfectly for each word/phrase. The fact her English is perfect helps also as she can help with the translation of the grammar side of things very well. Times are flexible, and Ria will always try to work around you and not the other way round. I have enjoyed my lessons so far and look forward to more.
